As mentioned elsewhere, the taweez is used by people of various faiths, and the resemblances between the taweez of different cultures and creeds can be striking at times; it also points to the common source of this practise (i.e. shaytaan).
In one video on Youtube (which we did not include on this site due to it containing music), a Muslim managed to find a taweez containing numbers in a qabbala (cabbala) book which matches the numbers written in a Qur'anic taweez! Although it is known that the practise of writing numbers, grids, etc. by so called Muslim spiritual healers was adopted from previous nations, this particular example clearly shows the dangers of trusting people who write taweez and include in them numbers, grids, symbols, etc.

Notes: The Muslim amulet contains the first ayah from Surah an-Nasr (110), mentions salah upon the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) and is then followed by letters and symbols. The numbers in the grid match the numbers in the cabbala amulet exactly.
