This website is an information-based site concerning the Islamic view on taweez (also known as tameemah, amulet, charm and talisman). On this site, you can access original articles and translations related to one of the most misunderstood practises in the world.
Background
In early 2010, Darul Imam Muslim Publishing House printed the first book in the English language dealing with the Islamic prohibition of taweez and it recieved an excellent response from its readers. However, as some bookshops profit from selling taweez to people, it would not be in their interest to sell a book warning about them, regardless of the evidences or arguments therein. Darul Imam Muslim recognised that this "boycott" would result in many Muslims being deprived of reading about the subject and making up their own minds. Furthermore, there are many things which were not included in the original book out of fear that it would lengthen the book into volumes, such as replies to less common misconceptions, new research on narrations, more pictorial examples of polythiestic taweez, etc. Additionaly, we have found a few sites about taweez which are clearly unislamic and misleading to the layman.
With all of this in mind, it was obvious that the material presented in the taweez book in addition to the other material that is available on the subject should be made easily available for all and taweez.info was setup, and all praise is due to Allah.
